Overview:
Southtown Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience in land development to help design, execute, and manage a diverse project portfolio in Texas.
This position oversees a wide array of land development projects and is accountable for delivering various aspects of the project to ensure successful completion and loyal clientele. This position requires clear communication, responsiveness, and precision to ensure work is done astutely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Experience with land development engineering design including detail site layout, grading; drainage system layout and design; utility system layout and design; and erosion and sediment control design and Pond and Best Management Practice (BMP) Design (e.g., detention ponds, water quality ponds, low impact design (LID), etc.) on diverse projects.
Experience with drainage design software including StormCAD, SSA, HEC-HMS, and other industry accepted software and development of hydrology studies and pond design.
Experience with codes and regulations, interpreting plans, designing stormwater facilities, site grading and permitting for land disturbance.
Experience coordinating with review staff before and during project permit reviews to discuss major design issues and clear comments.
Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D to address review comments and prepare updates.
Works well within a team environment to share technical skills and expertise.
Communicate excellently through email, phone, and face to face.
Coordinate internal project deliverables in conjunction with internal project workflow.
Ensure that reports, plans and other deliverables meet both the company's rigorous standards for quality prior to being submitted to clients or municipalities.
Review project deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and quality to avoid errors and omissions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field
Three or more years of post-graduation experience in land development
Experience and desire to work in open collaborative team environment.
Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer license
